Hello MEUSD Gardeners!
?>
Welcome to a blog created to serve you. It is here that we can share our ideas, our concerns and our questions about this school garden thing that we are trying to make happen. Let’s work together, share our resources and insights and have great gardens as a result.
I would like to suggest drawing the scale drawing of the garden on a sheet of easel graph paper. The raised beds could be cut to size out of construction paper and freely moved around until you have decided on the layout. Remember that the beds should run north and south so that the beds get as much sun as possible as the sun moves across the sky.
What a great an informative site!
Thanks, I hope you can use it. Please let me know if you think I should add anything for the other teachers in our district.

The school garden at the Middle and High Schools is developing, finally! We are constructing eight raised beds. Many different groups of people are working together to complete our goal of having a garden area to work in this spring semester.
It was 76 degrees today and only the first of March! It is time to have our seedlings started, are raised beds cleaned and planned. Be sure you are planting warm weather crops and think about the summer care of your garden before you plant!
